Welcome to BCard! By using our web application, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our web application.

What data do we collect?

BCard collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information for issuing payment cards (name, address, date of birth, social security number) and to create an account (email, Ethereum address)

  • Payment card transaction history to display to you, and for issuing rewards

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide BCard with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.

  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our websites or emails.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

BCard may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Transaction history from our card-issuing partner, Transcard

  • Email address and/or Ethereum from our authentication partner, Privy

How will we use your data?

BCard collects your data so that we can:

  • Create and manage your account with us

  • Issue a payment card

  • Email you with product updates and special promotions

  • Send rewards to your Ethereum wallet

  • Optimize our user experience

If you agree, BCard will share your data with our partner companies so that they may offer you their products and services.

When BCard processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

How do we store your data?

BCard tries to minimize storage of your data. Most of your data is cached securely on the device you use to login (local storage). We store your login information (email and/or eth address) securely on Vercel, headquartered in Covina, CA. We store your transaction history securely with Digital Ocean in their data center in New York City, NY. Our PCI-compliant card provider (Transcard) keeps a copy of the personal information legally required to issue your payment card.

BCard will keep the above information as long as you use our application.

Marketing

BCard would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies. We will never send your information to partners.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop BCard from contacting you for marketing purposes.

What are your data protection rights?

BCard is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), even though it’s not a requirement in our jurisdiction (Delaware, USA). GDPR grants the following rights:

The right to access – You have the right to request BCard for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that BCard correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request BCard to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that BCard erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that BCard restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to BCard’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that BCard transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
